Rob, I have read proposals for world peace that are less expansive than yours, on DST! With your encouragement, I propose you set your noggin to resolving why my vehicle is never in the same spot when I come out of the store as when I went in.
So, living in Alaska swapping times seems a bit inane since the timing of daylight is always changing, and rapidly. But we do it anyway, which is weirdly confirmation for the "last frontier".
One option you forgot to mention is instead of changing the time, you change the work hours. Instead of work starting at 8, it starts at 7. No changing clocks, just our imposed schedules. We could get the extra hours of playtime in the evening by starting work an hour earlier, if we want to. It's what we're really doing anyway but no messing with clock time. (Cause let's face it, my dog is never going to understand why her dinner is always late in the winter)
